Yema Paris is a French watch brand founded in 1948 by Henry Louis Belmont, established with the goal of creating reliable and accessible tool watches designed for professionals and adventurers. Based in France, Yema gained prominence in the 1960s–1970s with purpose-built models for pilots, divers, sailors, and motorsport enthusiasts, most notably the Superman diver, the Navygraf, the Rallygraf chronograph, and the Yachtingraf regatta timer. Yema watches were officially used by the French Air Force, Navy, and space program, including the Spationaute worn during France’s first space missions. While the quartz crisis disrupted the brand’s momentum in the 1980s, Yema was revived in the 21st century with a renewed focus on French identity, in-house calibers such as the YEMA2000 and CMM series, and vintage-inspired reissues. Today, Yema Paris represents a blend of French tool-watch heritage, modern manufacturing, and accessible mechanical watchmaking rooted in real-world functionality.
