ZENITH CALATRVA calibre 12.4

Enquire

Zenith is a Swiss watch manufacturer founded in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, Switzerland. It was one of the first watch companies to bring all aspects of watchmaking under one roof, setting the foundation for modern vertically integrated manufacturing. Zenith is best known for creating the El Primero in 1969, one of the first automatic chronograph movements and the first to beat at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, allowing for 1/10th of a second precision. The El Primero gained legendary status, even being used in modified form by Rolex in the Daytona during the 1980s and 1990s. Despite challenges during the Quartz Crisis, Zenith preserved its mechanical expertise and later resurged as a key player in Swiss horology. Today, the brand continues to innovate with movements like the El Primero 21 and the Defy collection, while honoring its heritage through the Chronomaster and Pilot lines, cementing its reputation for precision, innovation, and endurance.
